September 2009

My dear, very missed students,

I am running home, to our lessons with tons of new exciting news, ideas, suggestions and plans. In August, I had a chance to co-teach, partner, and hold great productive discussions with such Dance World icons like Hazel and Alan Fletcher, Bryan Watson and Carmen Vincelj, Melissa Dexter, Hans Galke, Alexander Melnikov, Davide Cacciari, and William Pino. My German and Russian students sent you "Hallo" and new CDs with music for our classes.

USA couple won Professional Latin at German Open. My husband, Alan was full of tears proudly singing American anthem at the award ceremony. Way to go, America!

Along with judging, I am invited to give a lecture "Champion's Checklist" at the NW Championships Seminar in Seattle on October 25th. The majority of the audience will be competitive dancers. So, I would appreciate your emails or notes on the most useful advises and comments I ever gave you for your competitions or performances. I want the lecture to be truly helpful.

Many of you booked lessons on a year-long base. So, I would like to be focused on teaching those willing to learn and advance their dance skills towards the chosen goals. We will start with the planning session at your first lesson. Please, prepare to share your questions, concerns, wishes and dreams. Also, check all of the competitions' websites (see below). The final scheduling of private programs will be finished at the end of September. Please, be patient :)

Remember, it is very IMPORTANT to take your private lessons along with classes and practices.

I am thrilled to announce a new Intermediate Youth Class starting on Wednesday, Sept. 9th at Beaverton YMCA 7:30-8:30 PM. The class is designed to advance your technique and fitness level. Even, if you are not Youth, but exercises and stay in good shape you are welcome to join. Talk to Anya before signing up.

Attention YMCA students! There is no classes on Labor Day. We start on Friday, the 11th.

Dear Competitors! Check deadlines for your registrations.

I am looking forward to dancing with you again!

Sincerely Yours,

Anya
